THABAZIMBI – The Thabazimbi police is mystified about how a bakkie, which got stuck next to the road, got stolen en burnt. They are appealing to anybody with information to come forward.
On Monday 29 September the driver of a Toyota Hilux with GP registration, ED van der Grys, got stuck with his vehicle on the Thabazimbi-Brits road. He left the vehicle next to the road and went back into Thabazimbi to look for assistance. When he returned to the place where he had left the vehicle, it was missing, he alleged.
On Wednesday the allegedly stolen Toyota Hilux was found burnt on the Thabazimbi-Lephalale road.
The police have questions about how a vehicle that was stuck got moved, and if it was towed, how did it end up burnt. They also want to know which direction it was facing when it was burnt.
The Thabazimbi police is appealing to anybody with information to phone the police station on 014 777 3500.
