Burglar on the loose
THABAZIMBI – The Thabazimbi police is looking for a burglar who stole electronic equipment from the Lekota premises and a motorcycle from Jan van der Merwe.
On Monday three cases were reported to the Thabazimbi police, one of malicious damage to property and two of theft, all in the area shortly after the turn-off to Belabela.
Mr I Brits laid a complaint with the police after his fence was cut open to gain entry into Lekota farm. At this farm a dvd machine, radio and flat screen television were stolen from the lapa. From Van der Merwe a motor cycle was stolen. This was later found hidden in nearby bushes.
It was reported that the tracks on all three premises were the same, which means that the same people were responsible for the burglary and trespassing in the area.
