AMANDELBULT – The Setaria Spar Golf Day was a most enjoyable day, although there were too many players in the field. With future major competitions, the field will be limited to 62 players, so please ensure that you book well in advance.
The next major competition the Club will be hosting, is the Mine Manager’s Charity Day on 26 July 2008. Please book in advance with Gordon Lee–Bell at 082 460 7849. The organizers are looking forward to lots of local and visitor’s support.
The course, as well as the club house, will be closed during the month of August 2008. On the golf course the greens will be will be over-seeding and the T–boxes re–surfaced. Funds have been approved to refurbish the club house and the change houses. During this time the ladies bar, at the restaurant, of the “Boom” will be utilized. This is also a good time to get to know the surrounding courses. The Club will assist members to make the necessary arrangements.
The scores of the last two months were scrutinized and please note that the strokes on holes No 13 and No 15 have changed, with immediate effect. Currently No 13 is playing too easy while No 15 is playing too difficult.
