Our Police Officers of the Future
THABAZIMBI – Five local students have just completed their basic police training in Pretoria and will receive field training for the next six months in Thabazimbi. The five students are Jerry Monama, Thrizzer Mokoka, Linah Makena, Lucas Makhafola and Sipho Makhubele. After the basic training, lasting six months, these five have been declared competent to assist in various fields of crime combatting. For the next six months they will undergo field training and will be assessed in terms of fitness, knowledge and interrogation skills. The local field training officer responsible for this is Inspector Steven Papo. After the successful completion of the six month field training, they will undergo one year probation training, after which they will become police officers.
