Week van gratis toegang vir dagbesoekers by SANParke
Die jaarlikse SANParke week waartydens dagbesoekers gratis toegang tot die meeste van die land se parke se 21 parke kan verkry, is vanjaar vanaf Sondag 8 September tot Sondag 15 September.
Daar word gehoop om besoekers van veral plaaslike gemeenskappe in nabyheid van hierdie parke te lok om “Park-ervaring” op te doen.
Parke wat uitgesluit is van hierdie week is die Weskus Nasionale Park, waar die blomme op hul beste is gedurende September, asook die Tafelberg Nasionale Park met die sensitiewe Rots-pikkewyne kolonie.
Baie besoekers word tydens hierdie tydperk by die Weskus Nasionale Park verwag met die string van voertuie wat vir etlike kilometers teen die weskuspad opstoot. Kwêvoël was reeds daar (Sien die plasing op die tuisblad onder die subhoof – Travel).
Die gratis toegang sluit nie akkommodasie of enige ander aanbiedinge soos veldritte en –staptoere in nie.
Soos reeds vermeld – dit is slegs van toepassing op dagbesoekers.

Nog ’n paar
moets en moenies van toepassing as jy een van die parke besoek:
Dagbesoekers moet hulle streng by die hek-tye hou en verder die algemene reëls
van toepassing op besoekers nakom. Dit sluit in om nie uit jou voertuig te klim
tensy anders aangedui nie, nie rommel te strooi en niks in die park te stroop
nie – Moenie eens daai takkie van ’n boom of bos afbreek nie.
Besoekers aan Marakele Nasionale Park by Thabazimbi word versoek om hulle deeglik te vergewis van fasiliteite wat gedurende hierdie tydperk beskikbaar sal wees wat deel van die SANParke week sal wees.
Marakele het reeds ’n program uitgewerk vir die week wat op plaaslike skole gemik is.
Besoekers moet sorg vir hul eie vervoer na en binne die park.

This is the 14th edition of the annual SANParks Week event, and this year it will take place from 08 – 15 September 2019. The SANParks Week gives South African day visitors free access to most of the 21 national parks in South Africa, with special emphasis on ensuring that people from local communities close to parks get to know and experience a national park. Namaqua National Park (annual natural flower show will be in full bloom in September) and the Boulders Penguin Colony area in the Table Mountain National Park will be excluded from the South African National Parks Week 2019. The free access does not include accommodation facilities and other tourist such as game drives, walks etc.
Some do’s en don’t for when visiting a park etc. the day visitors must adhere to the gate times of the parks as well as the rules and regulations of the parks such not leaving your vehicle at non-designated areas, pollution, poaching etc.
Also what facilities you have at Marakele and which are included and not included during this week – Marakele will have a programme for the week with local schools and local communities. Accommodation facilities, game drives and walks are not part of the SANParks week. All guests which wish to visit the park during that time will have to make provision for their own transport to and around the park. This Mahala week opportunity is for DAY visitors Only.
