Thabazimbi Cooks of the Year 2014

Rra Ditau Game Lodge will be holding a series of charity events over the coming months to raise money for the Bethlehem Project in memory of Christine Robinson, the former owner of the Lodge who lost her life in the most tragic of circumstances.
The Bethlehem Project is a charity which cares for destitute children in the Thabazimbi area by providing them daily with food and other basic needs. On the afternoon of 22 November they have arranged for some of the children to come and enjoy lunch and have some games at Rra Ditau. So, if you want, why not come at 5:30 and you can meet the children and also learn a little about their lives.
There will be 2 cooking competitions: one for the ladies and one for the men.
Each competition will require three(3)local people to cook against the clock for the title of Cook of the Year.
Each Cook of the Year To Be, have to invite their own team of 3 to 6 supporters to cheer them on as well as family and friends to come along and be part of the audience and join in fun and games.
Each competitor will be required to cook a meal for 8 to10 people within a strict time limit. A panel of local celebrities will hold a taste test to decide on the title winners. However all competitors will be awarded prizes according to their efforts!
There will be a range of interesting snacks and drinks and you’ll also get the opportunity to sample the competitors’ dishes.
Doors open at 5.30pm. Competition will start at 6:30 prompt.
During the evening there will be individual and team quizzes, a Chef’s Hat competition, the main Cook-Off and presentation of the title and prizes as well as a raffle.
Tickets are only R150; You will also receive a Rra Ditau voucher for R200.
