Thabazimbi Corrections Week

THABAZIMBI – From 24 September 2012 until 30 September 2012 the National Corrections Week was held on a national basis at various Correctional Services institutions.

Along this way, Thabazimbi Community Corrections did their part and participated in a cleaning project at Thabazimbi Bosveld Oord.

Various offenders and parolees participated in the project and were cleaning the premises at the retirement village.

Mr Hattingh, probation officer, kept an eye on these offenders and co-ordinated the event. Offenders were doing free community services as part of their court and parole-board sentences, whereby they must pay back to the community for the crimes they committed.

The next community service project will take place during November 2012.
