From Bauma to South Africa

LEPHALALE – New Holland Construction will be exhibiting at the Ellisras Bushveld Festival from 4 to 7 July. The merger in 1991 between Fiat Geotech and Ford, enabled New Holland to gain a vast resource of engineering experience, which has ensured the brand’s place as one of the top worldwide. The New Holland brand dates back to the late 1800’s and over the years has built strong global brand recognition. The New Holland brand has further entrenched itself in South Africa with Imperial Holdings having been awarded the distribution rights of New Holland Kobelco Construction Machinery in Southern Africa. This culmination of four very strong and powerful brands ensures a product offering and customer focus comprisable to no other. New Holland Construction offers the full-range of equipment, including the well-known backhoe loader range, skid steer loaders, standard wheeled and tracked excavators, wheel loaders, telehandlers, graders and tracked dozers. New Holland Construction will apply its focus on the following industries: Construction; Forestry, Farming and Agriculture; Mining and Quarry, Manufacturing and Retail, Plant Hire and Building. New Holland Construction is headed up by Dr. Jan Nell, previously sales and marketing director of Iveco (a sister company to New Holland). “I believe in our technology, which is European in origin but manufactured all over the world. New Holland has performed well in other markets, including Africa and it has great potential to improve even further in South Africa”, commented Dr. Jan Nell. “”The key issue is customer education and we have a strong support team from Italy who will be assisting with sales and service”, added Nell. New Holland Construction has established a single-tier distribution network, with branches based in Gauteng, Durban and Cape Town. The number of branches will be expanded to include other main centres within the next 12 to 24 months. Each region’s branch is responsible to set up a service network in the smaller centres. With its emphasis on after-sales service, New Holland Construction offers the market a packaged product, which includes the following: •New Holland Finance •Full Maintenance and Operating Rentals •Insurance •Fleet Management •Competitive Manufacturers warranty •Extended Warranty •Reman Programme •Service Plan •Repair & Maintenance Contracts. New Holland Construction exhibited for the first time at Nampo (15 – 18 May), as well as The Royal Show (25 May – 3 June). The response received at both shows was very positive and has already led to some positive outcomes. New Holland Construction was also awarded the Pietermaritzburg Sakekamer Shield, at The Royal Show for “the best display by an exhibitor who has not previously exhibited”. This attests to New Holland Construction’s serious commitment to ensuring a quality product and superior service for the South African market.
