Break through in Farm attack murder case

THABAZIMBI – The Provincial Detective Limpopo Team have made a breakthrough in arresting five suspects in connection with the Murder and House robbery that took place at Motlopi Lodge Game Game farm on 18 September. During the attack, the farm house of a couple was invaded by five suspects. Petro Res (60) was shot and killed and her husband, Bruno Res (73), was shot and wounded.
Two suspects, aged 31 and 26, were arrested on 26 September in Diepkloof Soweto and appeared before Thabazimbi Magistrate Court on 28 September. The case was postponed till 8 October 2015 for bail application.
On Monday 28 September, two other suspects, a couple, were also arrested in Diepkloof Soweto. The two suspects, who include a domestic worker and her husband, employed by the Res family, appeared before the Thabazimbi Magistrate Court on Wednesday 30 September 2015 where the case was postponed to 8 October 2015 when the four of them will appear together.
The investigations are continuing and more arrests on this case are not excluded.
The SAPS can me commented on these arrests which were swiftly and professionally executed. The only factor that prevented them being sooner on the scene was communication as the cell phone reception is poor in some rural areas.
