TLM supplied water tanks to informal settlements

THABAZIMBI – Thabazimbi Local Municipality bought 10 JoJo water tanks with capacity of 10 000 liters each, to be placed at strategic places for its communities to access water.

The beneficiaries of this project are the Smashblock and Northam x16 informal settlements communities.

The two informal settlements are depending on water tankers to fill their small containers with water. The tankers will be placed within 200 meters of the affected households. The municipality uses its own trucks to deliver water to the communities and fill the tanks on a daily basis.

While at Smashblock the five high mast lights that weren’t functioning, due to globes, were also fixed. The globes were replaced with new ones.
