Correctional Services serves the community
DWAALBOOM – Offenders from the Thabazimbi Correctional Services had to perform community work at the Dwaalboom Police Station, as obliged by law, on Saturday 18 January.
The offenders, led by Mr PE Hattingh and Mr RP Motlhake together with the Dwaalboom SAPS, had to clean the entire SAPS premises. They had to cut grass, clean the flower bed and pick up the litter.
This is part of the community service program, where offenders have to perform unpaid work in the community thus providing services to local communities.
Correctional services appeal to other organizations to contact them if there is general work to be done. “This is the payback to the community for offending the community,” said Motlhake.
Contact Mr de Koker, Mr Hattingh or Mr Motlhake on 014 777 1009 office or 082 416 9887.
