Neighbours angry about adult house

NORTHAM – The residents of Thabazimbi Road in Northam is outraged after an adult house opened for business in their neighbourhood.

The house, which seems to be in ruins and should actually be demolished, is being rented out. According to a source, this house is old and doesn’t even have plans at city council.

A resident, who has been living in Northam for almost two decades, said that he can’t believe that this is happening in his neighbourhood. “Prostitution is illegal in South Africa. This is a residential area where we have to raise our kids, now this kind of thing happens,” he said to Kwêvoël. “It seems like nobody can or wants to do anything about this.”

Kwêvoël still awaits correspondence from the Thabazimbi Local Municipality.
