TBZ Municipality worker retires
THABAZIMBI – The friendly and helpful Thabazimbi Municipality worker from supply chain, Paulus Monyeki, will be retiring at the end of the year, after 36 years of service.
His father came to Thabazimbi when Paulus was only a Standard 3 learner in 1966. Paulus went to Ysterberg Primary and passed his Standard 6 in 1969 after which he worked at Koffiehuis for three years. He then became a bricklayer until 1977 when he started his career at the municipality.
“I’ve seen Thabazimbi grow since 1981. Extension 6 and CBD, later extension 8. In 1991 Regorogile was planned and the first houses was erected in February 1992.” Paulus said to Kwêvoël. “I have enjoyed my time working with CFO’s, Civil and Electrical Engineers, Municipal Managers, Health Managers and a lot of Councillors. I am grateful to be part of this Council and has participate in its developments.”
Paulus Monyeki is retiring after 36 years of service at Thabazimbi Local Municipality.
