In her address, Lt-Col Moseki of Thabazimbi SAPS said that the fight against women and child abuse is one that has to be fought on all fronts and should be the role of all South Africans alike, both, men and women. The Real Men, who profess to get rid of this scourge to stand up and be counted, are being called on. She further made an appeal to all community members to work with the police in all crime related issues to make sure that criminals are locked up.
“We may have August as Women’s Month and the 9th August as symbolic of Women’s Day but the war against women and child abuse should be 365 days of the year because every day women and children are abused,” concluded Mosito.
