Kumba gives on Mandela-Day

THABAZIMBI – Kumba Iron Ore mine Thabazimbi, decided to give their “67 minutes” to Spitskop Special Needs School on Mandela Day. The team of 29 employees from Kumba didn’t just spend the 67 minutes at the school, they spend the whole day on the school premises making it a memorable event for every one involved. They treated the personell and children with food parcels and spent a lovely time together with the children. During the week leading up to Mandela day they replaced all the school’s light bulbs with energy savers and helped with the painting of the rooms. The school wants to make use of the golden opportunity to thank Anglo American for its generous support and all the contributions made. They have also donated 2 trampolines, a laser printer and a jungle gym for the kids worth R25000, that is on its way.

The Special Needs school really appreciates everyone’s contributions. Every little bit helps.
