Thabang Project thanks community
THABAZIMBI – The Thabang Children’s Project would like to thank the Thabazimbi community for their continuous support during the past year.
All contributions, be they small or big, have secured Thabang’s existence and development as an organisation that can render its vital services to this community. With the help of the community, Thabang will do everything possible to keep up its services and go forward to new horizons in the new year.
At the end of 2012 Thabang was, yet again, able to stage its traditional Christmas party for the OVC (orphaned and vulnerable children) in Smash Block – thanks to donations from the local Spar and Pick ‘n Pay as well as the Thabazimbi community. About 280 children attended the party.
Furthermore the children in care of the Child and Youth Care Centres were privileged to enjoy a Christmas Party at the neighbouring Leadwood Lodge courtesy of the Denton family. The Thabang children were blessed with presents, amongst others, from the Toy Run of the bikers’ clubs Ghost Riders, Road Hawks and Steel Wings.
Thabang’s management is enthusiastic about and grateful for the acceptance of the project reflected by these and many more contributions by the Thabazimbi community. In 2013 staff and management will do everything in their power to consolidate and enhance this precious relationship.
Kids and carers present gifts brought by the bikers.
