Northam ATM bombed

An ATM in Northam was bombed in the early morning hours of Wednesday 12 December 2012. According to sources, about 10 heavily armed men forced security at gun point to vacate the premises where after the culprits used explosives to bomb an ATM. By Wednesday midmorning, a reliable source said that due to the possibility of explosives that haven’t been discharged during the robbery, the bomb squad from Modimolle was on their way. Nobody was injured in the robbery attempt. Damages are still being assessed.
