E Glaser Foundation hand over donation to Thabang

Thabazimbi – The Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) donated miscellaneous items amounting to the value of R46 640 to the Thabang Children’s Project.

EGPAF, in partnership with the Dept of Health (DoH), supports the implementation of the HIV and AIDS management and treatment programme in South Africa.

Stephen Lerumo, Municipal Councillor for Smash Block, attended the function during which the items donated by the foundation were handed over to Thabang. He pledged his continuous support for the Thabang Children’s Project during 2012.

The donated items include a large set of therapeutic toys, which will enhance professional social work with the children in Thabang’s care. Mr Malaka Lebowa of EGPAF underlined the fact that children need to play to develop in a normal way. Kids with destitute backgrounds like those placed at Thabang’s Child and Youth Care Centres never had this opportunity. That is why the EGPAF wants to contribute to the development of these children.
