Marakele Football Club won The Thaba Spar Football League 2010-11.

THABAZIMBI – Marakele Football Club emerged as the Thaba Super Spar Football League champions for 2010/2011 season after beating Amandelbult Concentrator by 2 goals to 1 in their last game that was played on Thursday 10 November 2011 at Thaba Park at 19:20.

Finally the patience paid off after chasing the championship for the past two seasons since they won it in 2007/2008 season. It shows in the record that Marakele did their best to win the title as they could only afford to lose only 2 games after playing 26 games. They managed to scoop 58 points and walk away with the floating trophy, gold medals and R5 500 prize money. Thabazimbi Municipality Football Club are in the second position with a total of 57 points, taking away the silver medals and prize money of R4 000. The third place went to Kumba Football Club with 52 points, also getting themselves R3 000. Pick n Pay Football Club on the fourth spot with 51 points as well as R2 000, Spar Football Club being on the fifth position with 51 points as well and R1 000 and Shoprite Football Club managed position sixth with 48 points and taking home R750. The top eight knock out is under way and the final will be played on Sunday 20 November 2011 at Ipelegeng Sports facility. The closing ceremony for the League will be held on Friday 25 November 2011.
