THABAZIMBI – The Ysterberg Primary School soccer team took part in the McDonald u/14 School National League at Matlosana Stadium near Klerksdorp on 1 and 2 October.

The school represented the Limpopo Province after becoming the Provincial Champions in Polokwane’s Westernburg Stadium.

“The team did well as they played with soccer academies and secondary schools in the tournament. It was also an eye opener as we didn’t know what to expect in the first participation. In our three matches we were the first on the score sheet but went on to lose the games,” said the Team Manager, Molekoa. Limpopo came position eight out of the nine provinces. Gauteng emerged as the winner of 2011 McDonald u/14 School League.
