Attempted murder case after road rage

THABAZIMBI – An attempted murder case was opened after a road rage incident on Saturday 9 April at 16:25 when a 31 year old man was allegedly shot by an unknown male suspect who drove a grey Corsa bakkie with Gauteng number plates.

According to information, the complainant and his girlfriend were walking across a road at the corner of Berg Street and 11th Avenue in Thabazimbi when the driver of the mentioned vehicle skipped a stop-street and nearly collided with them.

The driver allegedly insulted the complainant and an argument ensued after which the suspect in the vehicle drove away.

The driver of the vehicle then returned and shot the complainant in the shoulder. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is in a satisfactory condition.

A case of attempted murder has been opened and is currently being investigated. Up to date, no arrests have been made.
