Regorogile public viewing area rocks

Hundreds of enthusiastic fans came together at the Regorogile Public viewing area provided by Thabazimbi Municipality, Thaba Super Spar and Kumba Iron Ore to watch the Bafana Bafana team play in their first World Cup game against Mexico on 11 June.

REGOROGILE-Young and old soccer lovers of approximately 2500 fans watched Bafana Bafana take on Mexico in the opening of the FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup at the Public Viewing Areas (PVA’s) in Thabazimbi. There is another PVA area placed at Northam Sports ground. Regorogile PVA was flooded with a “sea” of green and gold fans as the sounds of hundreds of vuvuzelas drew residents from their homes to join the celebrations. Yet again, it seems like disappointing results certainly will not deter fans from celebrations. Bafana looked like they were on a mission and missed the back of the net several times. A draw may not be the best result but boys in green and gold did the country proud and kept the World Cup hopes alive and kicking. A word of thanks is sent out to Thabazimbi Municipality, Thaba Super Spar and Kumba SIOC community development trust for these great gestures to the community at large for providing this facility for all to view the games. Regorogile Multipurpose Community Hall and Northam Sports ground are places to be at during the world cup 2010. An appeal is made to the community to come in large number to all mentioned venues as the games will be running until 11 July 2010.
