Zaba all starts 2009/2010 League Season

Safa Castle League matches started on 22 August 2009. They played five matches on their home ground, Ipelegeng Sport Ground, and won all five, but in September the mine discovered that the pitch wasn’t in a good playing condition until it was rehabilitated.

In that time the team struggled to get a pitch to practice and their performance dropped and they started to lose matches. The league approached Phillip Matlabola for a pitch to practice on and he made Thaba Park available.

They are in now 14th in the league and will be going through to the next season. The Zaba all stars goal is to go through to the Play-offs. They found two officials from the Municipality who’s going to run the club and we ask anyone who is interested in this club, that the doors are still open.

The under 19 development team is going well too and they already recruited two players, Tshepo Senyolo and Kamo, who played in the last two matches. This club urgently asks the support of all the residents of Thabazimbi to help the children to keep them of the streets and the use of alcohol, drugs and rape.

As a team they have nothing to accolade but the following people who have taken major part and their commitment throughout the season. They hope that on the next season that there will be more support. They take this opportunity to thank the following people, Mine Manager, Mr. Gumede, Mr. Khumalo, Mr. Sibusiso, Phillip Matlabola, Personnel Manager and their Bus Driver’s.
