Murderer sentenced to 12 years

THABAZIMBI – The person responsible for the death of a preacher in Regorogile in April this year, was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment in the Thabazimbi Regional Court on 29 September.
Piet Masenya (29) went to the house of the deceased, Lucas Tatanki Ntwapelo (36) on the night of 25 April this year. Ntwapelo was a preacher at the New of Love Apostolic Church in Regorogile.
Ntwapelo was not at home, but visiting next door neighbours. After Ntwapelo arrived back home a hot argument between them developed which lead to Ntwapelo being stabbed and killed by Masenya.
Masenya was found guilty of murder this week and sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment.
