Moral Regenesis Event at Thabazimbi District Hospital
THABAZIMBI – The Thabazimbi District hospital organised a Moral Regenesis event on Wednesday, 26 August 2009 to boost the morale of the nurses.
During this annual event the honourable Mayor, Mr Matlou, who was the guest speaker, said that all persons, and especially nurses, are born unique, and none should die a copy of another, each should perform their best in their own right.
The hospital choir performed at the event with beautiful songs. Nurses were commemorated for their service and those who have completed their studies, received their certificates.
The Deputy Manager of Nursing explained the Florence Nightingale pledge after which all nurses pledged the words again.
The Nightingale Pledge was composed by Lystra Gretter, an instructor of nursing at the old Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and was first used by its graduating class in the spring of 1893.
