Wes Feeds Thabazimbi Endurance ride during long weekend
KOEDOESKOP – The Wes Feeds Thabazimbi Endurance ride which was scheduled for 5 September, will now take place on 25 and 26 September at Allied Farms, Koedoeskop.
The distances of this endurance ride includes 30km, 60km, 80km and the longest being 120km. The distance of the 80km ride is 30km for the first leg, 30km for the second leg and 20km for the third leg. The 120km ride is divided into four legs, with the first leg being 40km, the second leg 30km, the third leg 30km and the fourth leg 20km. Entries and weighing in will be on 24 September at 17:00 with the briefing and drawing of departure times at 20:00. Entry fees for the day riders for 30km ride are R350, and the Stepladder for 30km, 60km, 80km and 120km amounts to R450.
There will be a camping area available with a cafeteria and every rider is responsible for the erection of his horse’s camp. The maximum ride time at the speed of 8.12 kilometres per hour will be 10 hours, with the New Course as handicap. Vetgate is the responsible timekeeping system on the course includes small and rocky, flat and wet areas. A photographer is available during the ride for all photo requirements.
