South African’s Young Musical Icon Bok van Blerk takes to the Stage

The geographical wonder, Thabazimbi, with its rolling bushveld plains and majestic mountain landscapes will be the host to this year’s Thabazimbi Game and Tourism Expo from the 30th of April to the 2nd of May 2009. Visitors can count on an action packed family weekend at the ideal setting of Thaba Park in Limpopo.

South Africa’s celebrated young musical icon, Bok van Blerk, will be performing amongst the likes of Steve Hofmeyr, Robbie Wessels, DJ Ossewa and many other musical acts over the weekend. He was the artist with the most sales in South Africa for 2007 and 2008 and this included his top seller (De La Rey) of which 200 000 albums were sold, allowing his album to go both Gold and Platinum. Bok van Blerk, having made the front page of the New York Times, has definitely made his mark on the world of music. With influences including Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Koos Kombuis and Valiant Swart, all should catch the entertaining De La Rey star playing his incredible Afrikaans lyrics at this year’s Thabazimbi Game and Tourism Expo.

The annual Kudu Quad Fun Run will be taking place Friday, the 1st of May.
Registration fee for the run is R200, payable before the event and R250 when registering on the day. The race starts at 8:00 in the morning. Competititors will experience both incredible scenery and extraordinary natural attractions as they make their way through the course of the race. Be sure not to miss out on the action! Other fantastic activities to look forward to over the weekend include, delightful pony rides on Friday and Saturday from 13:00 till 17:00 for only R10 a ride. Furthermore, Equestrian enthusiasts should diarize the Saturday for the very entertaining and skilled Horse Jumping Show that will begin at 8:30 and run throughout the day.
