Disco, cake and hotdogs

SMASH BLOCK – Thabang’s traditional Christmas party in Smash Block means busy days for the staff but absolute fun for the children. The traditional end-of-year functions convened by Thabang Children’s Project were a big success.
The outing to the Forever Resorts in Bela Bela is always a very special treat. Thanks to the Resorts’ management, who provided free entrance for the children, the disadvantaged kids have an experience they could normally not afford.
Disco, cake and hotdogs – the Thabang Christmas Party at the Community Care Centre in Smash Block was the hit for 160 orphans and children from poor families. They really enjoyed it.
This is all made possible by the generosity of Thabang’s donors and, of course, the commitment of all of Thabang’s staff.
“Donors from the Thabazimbi community helped us to make this happen”, says Thabang manager Tessa White with a happy smile. “Thanks to Pick ‘n Pay and Thaba Spar for their wonderful cakes as well as sausages and rolls, Boere Slaghuis for wors, Swartklip Dairy for the juice and, last but not least, Afgri for their contribution. We really appreciate the support for our children and wish everybody a joyful and blessed Festive Season.”
