Hardekool Classic mountain bike race

THABAZIMBI – The Hardekool Classic Mountain Bike Race is presented for the fifth consecutive year on 4 October at Ben Alberts Nature Reserve.
For this race Ben Alberts, owned by Kumba Iron Ore, is opening its game fences to mountain bikers who wish to come and test their mettle and the slime in their tyres.
Routes of 70km, 35km and 10km take participants through the game reserve and up the iron mountain offering some technical challenges on jeep and singletrack. Game viewing is part of the experience.
The main sponsor of the event is Kumba Iron Ore. Others include Die Kwêvoël, Bertie Joubert Eiendomme, Aida, KFC and Tyre Corporation. A NG Church food and cool drink stall will provide refreshments.
