Thabazimbi Animal Clinic adoption protocol

THABAZIMBI-The animal clinic receives numerous pets that are lost or stray.  Sometimes the owners come to collect them and sometimes they can be adopted by new owners.
To the benefit of the animals and their new owners, all animals that are adopted will be sterilized, vaccinated and dewormed.
The cost of these procedures will be shared by the vets, Kendall Stray Fund and the new owner of the pet. Animals younger than 6 months will only be sterilized at the age of 6 months.
The cost of these procedures for dogs will be R250 and for a cats R200. Due to shortage of space at the Thabazimbi Animal Clinic, those pets that do not get adopted within 10 days will unfortunately be put to sleep.
