Reminder to all anglers.

ROODEKOPPIES-DAM – This coming weekend is the big angling competition that all the anglers were waiting for. The competition starts on Saturday 13 April from 09:00 and is till 12:00 Sunday 14 April.
This competition is for the heaviest bag of fish. The rules state that all anglers, women, men and juniors, must cast for themselves. Penkoppe can be assisted with casting and bait but they must be able to “fight” and retrieve the fish. All fish caught will contribute to your weight, except kurper which must be at least 150 mm and be more than 20 in your bag.
Non-members must pay entrance fee of R100. This is for the whole family living with the paying member. Every angler must have his or her own fishing keepnet for caught fish. Those who participate can only have 2 fishing rods, and all those who enter are responsible for their own fishing license.
All anglers are invited to join in for this two in one competition in conjunction with Abraham Kriel welfare organization from Langlaagte and Northam Angling Club. The dam can be entered from Friday but the competition only starts on Saturday 12 April at 12:00. Prizes will be awarded as follows: Men 1st R300, 2nd R200 and 3rd R100. Ladies 1st R200, 2nd R150 and 3rd R100. Juniors 1st R100, 2nd R75 and 3rd R50. Penkoppe 1st R80, 2nd R50 and 3rd R30.
