Zaba All Stars sparkling

THABAZIMBI – The Zaba All Stars Football Club has done well in the first part of the Thabazimbi Promotional League by ending at the top of the log after the first round of ten games. The football season is half way and the results in the second half of the season, starting in November, will determine whether the team will go through to the play-offs in Polokwane, Bela-Bela and Modimolle. The results of the games that this team played so far, the Zaba All Stars lost two, won six and two games ended in a draw. They competed against the following teams in the local league, Limpopo Arsenal, Ysterberg, Township Rollers, Juventas and Hot Beans. According to the team’s manager, Daniel Zaba, going to the play-offs mean games away from home and for this, sponsorship is needed. The team has received a sponsorship for jerseys, but is also in need of togs, transport and cash. Zaba says a proper organizing committee needs to be established with secretary, treasurer, team manager, match organizer and extra coaches.
