Tennis Club Hosts Elardus Park players

THABAZIMBI – The Thabazimbi Tennis club hosted a tennis day for Elardus Park Tennis club at Thaba Park on Saturday the 15th of September. The four finalists are on the photo from left to right Hennie Reyneck (winner mens), Este du Toit (winner ladies), Carel van Rooyen and Robynn Hearne who was the best Thabazimbi player on the day. There were 40 players who took part in the competition, 25 of them came from Elardus Park in Pretoria and 15 players were local Thabazimbi players. We have a number of young people who have become active players and it is really rewarding to see their enthusiasm and interest in the game of tennis. The day was ‘n great success and has been an annual event for the past 6 or 7 years. Lots of fun was had by all who participated. The Thabazimbi Tennis club would like to thank Pick ‘n Pay and Spar for their sponsorship, it is truly appreciated! A big thanks to the other Thabazimbi members who also helped with eats etc. They would also like to extend their thanks to the players from Elardus Park for coming to play. Thabazimbi Tennis Club is starting to show growth again, and they would like to invite all tennis players to come and join them for social tennis on a Wednesday and Saturday afternoon (all Rugby is taken into consideration when deciding on Saturday times)! Please note that the club have no age restrictions. If you can play tennis and love the game you are more then welcome. The Club is looking into the possibility of starting a Beginners Club as well.
