Policemen save man’s life
NORTHAM- The quick action of police officers on duty at the community service centre at Northam Police station saved the live of a man suffering a heart attack. This happened on Monday 3 September. The man only said to one of the members that he is getting a hart attack and collapsed in front of the office. Inspector Oosthuizen who was on duty at that stage, immediately jumped over the counter to assist the man. Sargent Buys who was also nearby established that the man is employed at the Swartklip mine and contacted Netcare 911 of Swartklip to come and assist. Insp. Oosthuizen and Sgt. Buys assisted the man medically and mentally till the ambulance arrived on the scene to take the man to hospital.
