Heritage day celebrations at Swartklip

THABAZIMBI – The Heritage day celebrations is hosted by the Office of the Mayor in partnership with all stakeholders and South African Woman in Dialogue within Thabazimbi Municipal area. This event will take place on Monday 24 September at Swartklip Rugby Stadium and the celebrations will start at 10:00. The purpose will be that of presenting our heritage and promoting our cultural diversity. The national theme for 2007 Heritage month is “Celebrating Poetry” but it is felt that since the programme is compromising of cultural performance it should rather be “Together-Reclaimi ng our Heritage”. All cultural groups within the municipal area will be performing on the said day and an invitation has been sent to Volksspeel to take part as well. A prize will be given to the best performances. Every one is welcome to celebrate this cultural day together at Swartklip Rugby Stadium.
