SAPS fitness – no funrun
THABAZIMBI – On Monday 2 July five of the new Thabazimbi SAPS trainees, under the supervision of Inspector Papu and the Thabazimbi Traffic Department, endured the grueling 8km jogg from Marakele National Park which they had to finish in limited time. The Police field training programme is set to enhance performance and capability with trainees undertaking the 8km run in under one hour, three times in a six months period to monitor their fitness levels. The South African Police Service is committed to the physical, tactical and mental well-being of its personnel, thereby ensuring that the community receives the satisfactory and acceptable policing services to which they are entitled.
