Waterberg Municipality Indigenous Music Festival

MODIMOLlE – The Waterberg District Municipality in collaboration with the University of Venda for Science and Technology and the National Department of Arts and Culture, will conduct a pioneering event of the Indigenous Music Festival on 9 April at 10:00, at Bakenburg Sports Complex, Modimolle.
This is part of a nationwide project by the Department of Arts and Culture to restore cultural values through the usage of oral history and musicals. The programme is expected to draw over 3000 spectators, excluding over 500 participants. The participants will come from the six local municipalities under the jurisdiction of Waterberg District Municipality. Local municipalities will display their African artworks in their different stalls.
