PGP’S franchise operation opens 11 new offices during 2004

The Pam Golding Property group’s franchise operation has seen significant growth and expansion with 11 new offices opened during 2004 (to end November). The 103 offices in this division, together with the group’s 68 company owned offices and three black empowerment offices, brings the total number of PGP offices to 174.
Pam Golding Franchise Services, headed by MD Patrick Maingard, now has a total of 103 offices in Southern Africa and Mauritius. The stronghold remains KwaZulu-Natal where there are 35 offices spread throughout the region, while the Central region has seen tremendous expansion with eight new offices opened this year (2004), bringing the company’s total number of offices in this region to 32.
The Eastern Cape and Garden Route comprises another 29 PGP offices, with a new office recently opened in Dana Bay and an additional office soon to open in Fraserburg. The franchise operation also has seven international offices in Swaziland, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Mauritius.
PGP group CE Dr Andrew Golding says further expansion is planned for the franchise network over the forthcoming year. He says the franchise option is particularly successful within the PGP, as franchisees are able to provide clients with the same high service levels, backed by the group’s innovations and expertise in IT and marketing, and significant brand strength. “Increasingly, consumers demand a real estate group that meets all their requirements – even exceeding them – in every sense,” says Dr Golding.
Maingard adds that in order to ensure that the highest standards of service are maintained throughout all franchise offices, additional and advanced levels of training have been introduced, catering for both new and existing agents, administrative staff and office managers – provided through the Pam Golding Training Academy.
