THABAZIMBI – Five mothers gave birth at the Thabazimbi Hospital on New Year Eve and New Year’s Day.

As they welcomed their bundles of joy, Mayor Patricia Mosito was by their side. Mayor Mosito led a delegation of councillors and officials from both the Thabazimbi local municipality and Thabazimbi Hospital on the visit to the maternity- and general wards.

Two mothers gave birth on New Year’s Day. The first to arrive during New Year was Thsatha Nomangesi’s baby boy Mosuli born at 00:36, followed by Sophy Mataboge’s girl Amogelang at 8:55.

Mayor Mosito made an appeal to mothers of babies to feed their newly-born babies breast milk in order to keep them healthy at all times. There was also a short prayer rendered by the Speaker of the municipality, Bishop BS Mothoa to all mothers and babies on the day.
