Die fietsryer van Thabazimbi wat die 1000km vir Baba Reef Projek geloods het, Darrel Jennings, het op Vrydag 27 Januarie vanuit Thabazimbi vertrek. Gemeenskapslede het die eerste 8km saam met Darrel gery om hul steun te toon. Op die foto is die Pink Ladies saam met Darrel. Die Pink Ladies het met hul pienk drag, ook deelgeneem aan die Pienk vir Pippie veldtog.

THABAZIMBI – Die ATKV-tak Thabazimbi bied op Saterdag 4 Februarie ‘n ATKV-Gholfdag by Thabazimbi Gholfbaan aan.
Inskrywings vir dié Beterbal in pare-kompetisie, sluit reeds 2 Februarie. Die Inskrywingsfooi beloop R100 per speler en sluit vooraf se koffie en toebroodjies, aandete en aantreklike pryse in. Gaste is welkom vir aandete teen R50 per persoon.

THABAZIMBI – Thabazimbi Municipality Mayor, Cllr Patricia Mosito, Speaker BS Mothoa, Cllr DM Tlhabadira, Hon Joy Matshoge of Limpopo Legislature, Cllr T Molefe as well as officials from Northam Constituency office visited schools of both Thabazimbi and Dwaalboom circuits as part of back to school campaign 2012.
The purpose was that of motivating and encouraging educators to take education to the children of Thabazimbi and South Africa more seriously than before.
Before the visits to schools, Thabazimbi Department of Education circuit Management briefed the team about 2011 results in general especially those of high school learners.

Speaker BS Mothoa, Mayor PA Mosito, Hon Joy Matshoge(MPL) with Deputy Principals of Mabogopedi and members from Northam Constituency office at Mabogopedi high.
During the briefing session, few things were highlighted by the department of Education such as lawlessness to some of the school especially Mabogo-pedi High, shortage of classrooms as well as lack of commitment by some of the educators.
The school, Mabogo-pedi reordered below 50% pass rate, which makes it to under the dysfunctional school category in terms the department of Education.
The school has for the past three years failed to produce good results. They have only achieved 31,64 % compared to the 45,5 % the previous year (2010).
Some of the high schools namely Frikkie Meyer 98,27 %, Naletsana 70 %, Northam Comprehensive 58,9 % and Groenvlei76,47 % show some improvements although Groenvlei is reported to be also deteriorating but they managed to score above 50%.

THABAZIMBI – ‘n Inwoner van Bosveld Oord, Magriet Massyn, is op 22 Januarie 2012 op die ouderdom van 69 te Wilgers Hospitaal oorlede.
Magriet is in Potgietersrus gebore, het later na Meyerton verhuis en was vir die afgelope ses jaar ‘n trotse inwoner van die Bosveld. Vier van hierdie jare het sy as inwoner van Bosveld Oord deurgebring.
Sy laat vier kinders, vyf kleinkinders en ‘n agterkleinkind agter. Haar roudiens vind plaas op Saterdag 28 Januarie 2012 om 10:00 vanuit die Hervormde Kerk, Thabazimbi.
Namens die kinders word Magriet se Bosveld Oord vriendinne bedank vir hul liefde en versorging gedurende die tyd wat sy daar woonagtig was asook die Dokters en mediese personeel van Medi-Clinic Thabazimbi.

MOGWASE - Two primary school learners were swept away by strong currents while crossing a flooded river in Moruleng near Sun City in the North West on Tuesday morning, 24 January 2012.
Public Safety and Liaison spokesperson, Lesiba Moses Kgwele, said the incident occurred at around 7am in Manamakgotheng village while the pupils were crossing Makgawe river on route to school.
According Kgwele, rescue teams are still at the scene searching for the pair.
He further said 13 learners were earlier rescued out of a minibus combi by Moses Kotane Local Municipality Fire and Emergency Services after the vehicle they were travelling in from Mogwase Correctional Services Centre to Holy Family Combined School in Mogwase was swept away by floods at Mabele-a-Podi village.
In another incident in the same area, a father managed to pull his two children out of his car that was submerged in water after it was swept away by floods.
North West Road Traffic Management authorities are advising motorists travelling between Mogwase and Moruleng to use the R510 Thabazimbi-Northam road.
The D533 Mogwase-Moruleng road is temporarily closed as the Kgama Bridge is flooded.
